Background on the event
In the last 5 years, the Rugby Rumble event has featured over 40 boxing bouts between members of the Toronto Scottish, Toronto Nomads and Toronto Dragons, and has raised over $75,000 in support of junior rugby. The event features club rugby members squaring off against each other in officially sanctioned, fully-licensed boxing matches. We provide 10 weeks of specialized boxing training before the event, which is the largest annual amateur boxing event in Ontario. All participants will have an official amateur boxing record after the event.
This year the event takes place at the Berkeley Church, a renovated church built in 1871 and converted into an events space. It features a balcony for a great view of the bouts below. The event is a 19+ open-bar event, with 10-12 bouts taking place this year.
