TSRFC Elects First Female President in Club’s History

TSRFC Elects First Female President in Club’s History

Veteran Toronto Scottish player and executive Cathy Caldarola has made history as the first woman to be elected President of the TSRFC. Not to date ourselves, but it’s the first time in our 61 year existence that a female has been at the club’s helm.

“For the Scottish to have voted in a female president goes to show that the club is progressive and treats everyone equally. Women are strongly encouraged to be part of the Board and help lead this club into the future” said our new President with her trademark integrity.

It also marks the first time the board is evenly split between the sexes, showing the growth of the game on the women’s side of the ball as well as the men’s.

To say the least, we’re proud to call her our own. See the full Rugby Ontario article featuring words from our new and past President here.
