COVID-19 Statement
from the TSRFC President

August 04, 2020

The Toronto R.F.C., after many discussions at the board level, have put forward and passed a motion on Tuesday July 28, 2020 to hold off on pursuing the 2020 rugby season until the following events have occurred.

The motion reads:

Moved: The Board of the Toronto Scottish Rugby Football Club would not consider holding any rugby activities unless the following are met:

  • Rugby Ontario reaching Phase 3 of their rugby plans for Ontario.
  • TSRFC having a COVID Coordinator appointed.
  • At least 20 members have paid $120 for participation in rugby activity.

Moved: Mark Harris
Second: Jerry Marriott
Unanimous consent

Thank you to Jamie Mistry for putting his hand up to be our COVID Safety Coordinator. Jamie will be our Liaison with Rugby Ontario and guide us through the phases plan.

We will still need 20 players to register with RO through Sportlomo (Steve Pittelli can answer your questions on that process) and pay the $120 if they want to play touch. Once we have that commitment we can move forward with equipment that is COVID compliant and secure a field for touch games.

Cheers,

Mark Harris
President – Toronto Scottish Rugby Football Club
